3-String Sweep Practice in C Dorian

by foogered (Jul 20, 2008)

This was an introduction for an old tune of mine which I've since dismantled (another part of it has since transformed into my "Slap Harmonics" lick). Nowadays I just use it to warm up and work on my sweeping, which I'm trying to adapt to jazz. Picking directions that I use are denoted above each block of tablature (v meaning pick away from you, ^ meaning pick towards you). The first lick develops from a C minor arpeggio, and the second switches between a C minor arpeggio and a C minor 7 arpeggio.
