Im trying to make my amp sound more like metallicas sad but true sound. i have a sd-1 and a lin6 15w and i was wondering if i bought a second sd-1 would it gve me a metal sound

metallica add studio effects to their music as do all bands...whether they did on sad but true...probably, but dunno

well im more just going for that kind of sound. very thick very powerful and im not sure if two sd-1 superoverdrives will give me what im looking for

I'd try combining it with a different overdrive, if it's a thicker and fuller sound you want. Plus, you'll have more versatility.

a very good pedal for that type of dist. is DOD american metal, i own one and it sounds great for sad but true

it's gonna be real hard to produce that thick sound with a 8" speaker.

Very true Lance. @HighonBodom Have you tried the Boss Metal Zone or Metal Core?

If I were you I wouldn't look towards pedals to get you this desired sound, I'd use your money to upgrade to a bigger amp.
