The Mars Volta work a lot of Latin rhythms and such into their music. They're also insane live, some sort of marauding musical enigma.

After reading (and posting in) this thread I started listening to The Mars Volta, and I still have no idea how to describe them. It's almost hard to do something else while listening to them, the music just takes over your mind.

I would embed the link, but apparently it has been requested that this video not be embedded.

Which one GRX? I'm really liking The Bedlam in Goliath. It's a little more on the rock side as opposed to being super-progressive. I had a hard time getting used to Frances the Mute where most of the album is taken up by two songs, each with about 6 parts.

I got Bedlam in Goliath as well. They had another album, but I like cover of this one better, so I got it. :)
