Electro harmonix metal muff is only 90 bucks, and is one of the best metal pedals i have ever heard, including 300 dollar botique pedals.

the hardwire TL-2 is 100 dollars, and is pretty good.

the keeley modded boss MT-2 twilight zone is pretty good, for 150.

the Ibanez TK999HT Tube King is very versatile and sounds great, for 150.

any of these will satisfy, check them out.

Baudelaire what is this MT-2 Twilight Zone.

The MT-2 has to be the most organic sounding of any analog pedal along with the Overdrive. The MT-2 also has a useful EQ that creates very different types of distortion.

actually i need the other effects not for metal...dont play with my head, now i wanna get the electro harmonix thing lol.
i have a better idea actually i hv the sounds i need in my amp but i needed the pedal to play clean too, but i hv a better idea, i once heard that theres a thing like a pedal but it makes u play clean and the amp sound.... to get my point, u use the amp effects and the pedal for a clean sound (if that saves money) but what is it called?

If you're using the amp effects then you don't really need pedals, unless you're talking about a noise gate/suppressor?

pffff... i do need to use the amp effects but i need a clean sound to ... so i heard once that theres a thing like a pedal but instead of giving an effect it remove the effect to a clean sound so u could play clean and the amp effect in the same time ..

nothing just pffin.... i know what a pedal is and i do have a pedal, iv been playing for two years im not stupid... still u didnt get my point, let me make it clear

for example u wanna play a song, and ure using the amp effect for that song, okay? while ure playing theres a part in that song that u should use no effect and play clean. so ure not gonna go to ur amp and make it clean.. instead theres a pedal (i guess a guy once told me) that gives u a clean sound while ure using the amp effects. so u could just step on the pedal and u get a clean sound and press again ull get the amp sound ... so the pedal gives clean sound instead of an effect so u could use the effect from ur amp and clean from the pedal

A footswitch for your amp. Some amps have a control that you can press with your feet to control built-in effects/distortion. What kind of amp do you have?

Yep, I'm going on about that type of pedal man. When you want to change the effects half way through the song, you can change it with the pedal I suggested for you. Just tap your foot on the clean part of the pedal.

I dunno about that amp. Just search your amp + footswitch in google or something. If the amp has a compatible footswitch, it'll probably show up with the 1st page of results.
