forgive me for this, but you can take that electric drum set and stuff it in the trash compactor! Sorry, now I have to go wash my mouth out with soap! Ok, I'm sorry it does say that this is YOUR dream, not mine. Quick unplug the compactor!
Real drums pushing real air is my preference.

I like real drums too. Unlike Baud I've had good experiences with drummers. I also like the way they sound up close and on stage.

I hate drummers i would much rather have a percussionist (believe me there is difference) but my dream group would have to be something like in Love's Album Forever changes (great album every one should go and listen NOW) with a modern classical feel maybe two bikes like frank Zappa just kidding but not at the same time.

nice choice on the Tele i love em. love em even more when thay have a S1 switch with 5 way pick up selection for all your series, parallel and out of phase needs

Electronic drums are good, I don't know what you guys are talking about. Get a good module and you're good to go. Plus, it's easier to control the sound with electric drums than it is acoustic drums.

And phip, would you also like me to throw out keyboards as well? Wright frowns upon your shenanigans!

I don't know, maybe, I think possibly yes. Why? I'm no expert on keyboards and pianos but i would imagine that just like guitars, each piano makes it's own unique sound based on materials, cavity size etc. So each instrument has it's own "voice". And pianos are constucted for the most part out of natural materials and therefore are "of nature", not man made plastics and transistors and digital processors which are not "of nature". and i feel that music is or should be of or from the earth, natural sounds of once living materials. I don't want some robot playing my piano any more than I would want a robot to sing my vocals. I hope that all makes sense. Having said that i think there is a place for keyboards. It's much easier to throw the keyboard onto the back seat and drive over to your friends house for a jam session. wouldn't want to carry a piano around all the time. but in the end i think there are times when technology doesn't live up to it's promise.

a Synth wasn't originally made to be a sampler it is just used that way look at the mini-Moog. i think that was wrong with this whole digital age of music to much thought is being put into modeling sounds then to create vast new sound capes. and it is confusing because all the "keyboard" instruments are getting lumped to gather when a keyboard is a mechanical controller device not a instrument. for example a Clavinet, min-moog, grand-piano look em up you will see.
