I'd say James Hetfield, because his rhythm is so fast and tight and his vocals are fast and take much concentration because most of the time its different lyrics instead a repeating chorus. Your Fav?

I know I'm an old fart but I'll again have to say Jimi Hendrix. He sings, plays rhythm and solos all at once. SRV and Clapton are great at this also. While I do like Hetfield, cause in a class all his own, I find that I can play metallica songs and sing too. I can't play Hendrix songs and sing.

Liam Gallagher, Rob Halford, John Lennon, and Noel Gallagher.

Some of them may not be the best technically, but their voices are rather good.

I'm not really fond of Metal Singers (other than Halford and ***inson) like Hetfield. Mainly because Hetfield mainly just goes "YYEAAAH!" and "OOOOOOHHH...".

Not to offend anyone but I ment the ones who play rhythm and sing, just them. And to aid my censorship thing, the forum blocked Bruce **inson's name. WTF?

No offense man, but its kind of an aquired taste, you have to get past the growling a screaming to be able to pick up on the melodiies and lyrics.

Hetfield is all of the above but his lyrics arent as good as some other Metal guitarists. David Gilmour, Hendrix, Cash, Mustaine, and Hetfield.

Well, Halford and Liam are the only two who don't play rhythm (regularly).

Kai Hansen

He was the singer for Helloween the first few years. And on the 2nd album they got a new singer, but his guitar skills are just... Awesome.
And then in Gamma Ray he became the singer guitarst again... So awesome.

David Gilmour and Jimi Hendrix aren't metal, they're classic rock. Whos Cash? Johnny Cash? He could defintely be put in comparison with Mustaine though.

I think League is making two points. The first one is about Hetfield, the second is his contribution to the topic. I don't think they're about the same subject.

Though he's not a guitarist, I like Geddy Lee from Rush. IMO, his bass-playing and vocals are excellent.

Yeah, Hendrix. But there's another one that's also happens to be dead that I forgot. Jeff Buckely. His voice is amazing and his rhythm guitar playing is very technical and of course while he sings. Check him out on the tube!
