This is a symphony with 7 short movements, one for each planet, based on astrology. it was made around 1900, i believe, and this is one of the most beautiful, varied, interesting, and emotional symphonies ever writ - period.

this is the URL for a playlist with all 7 movements, in order. enjoy this fine work of art.

Dynamic! Full of power and awe. They level of professionalism and precision of classically trained musicians in an orchestra like this is deserving of the utmost respect. I think I liked Saturn best.

We listened to some of it in Drawing Class at school. It's pretty cool stuff.

I think it was Mars that I liked the most. Very powerful!

mars sort of made me think maybe john williams was influenced a little when he made the star wars symphony... he was still good, though.

this symphony is better, though. and saturn is my favorite too, next to jupiter. or maybe neptune, i don't know.

Yeah, I think that John Williams definitely heard this. I'll give the whole thing a listen soon, since we didn't get to the later parts of it.

Dude, I've seriously love his music, SO awesome. He's really inspired me.

I thought that John Williams was inspired by that too, funnily enough.
