Well I've decided to help out my girlfriend's brother and repair his SG copy, the bridge & tailpiece are missing and the whole thing needs a good proper clean down.

Could anyone give me some cheap places to get replacement parts and proper cleaning products? it has a rosewood fretboard.

Thanks everyone.

I think local guitar or instrument stores should have such things. Or if they do not have, I think they will order them if they have a hunch of customer service

I had a look on GuitarAmpKeyobard.com (GAK), and they have some tune-o-matic bridges that would work on an SG. They also have Lemon oil is used to clean rosewood fretboards.

I'm not sure if that's the cheapest though. Maybe look at Thomann? I'm not really sure of other sites that ship to Europe.

^ Yeh, they don't have much though. I just searched "tune-o-matic" (the kind of bridges that most Gibsons have) and one or two things came up. They have the cleaning stuff in the accessories section, in a subgroup called Guitar Care.

I don't know. But if you're lucky maybe even find some sort of really cheap really used Gibson guitar that smimilar to the /is a SG and take that one's bridge. Chances may be slim I know but it worked or my cousin's Martin guitar when it broke.
