Behold me new David Gilmore Strat.

Your probably thinking "Are you nuts?" "You spent 4000 dollars on a signature Strat."

The answer is no. My dad works for DBM (a repair shop in new york) and had been disgusted that they would sell a Strat for 4000 dollars. Taking it into his own hands, he bought the body, the neck and the tremelo system and through it together.

The guitar got its christening. My dad was finishing it up in the shop, and one of the roadies from Pink Floyd comes in with an effect unit that was needed for repair. He see's the guitar and starts to play all of the David Gilmore stuff :P.

Point is, Great Guitar, great story.

It's very Mark Knopfler-ish. Distorted, it has a very "crystal" like tone.

Hehe, probably a new drum kit will suit him. He's really into that stuff.

I completely understand why you hate Strats. I used to have Epiphone Les Paul an when I switched to a Strat, it was very awkward.

Strats are much better thn telecasters in my opinion. Did you flip your image or are you actually left handed? The Fender logo looks backwards.
