Am i lucky? this is a question

Ok, my dads friend, who is a junk-rat, loves to colect useless stuff, and he knows i love music, so he cave me a a working amp head, in which i already have a useless body that i was about to take apart. he said he picked it off the side of the road, its a Peavy XR 6000 mixer amp...Is that a good amp? Am i really **ing lucky?

@Musical Magic, if the amp works on a guitar even if i's not yours, I'd still sugest you keep it in case you ever get one that does fir it or see if it's been misplaced...somehow, I'm not too sure how the owner wouldn't notice where they left it though! Or you could sell it if it works, any luck it'd help you buy a good amp you can use.

The only way to tell if it's good is to play it.

If you like it, then you got a good deal. If you don't like it, do some research on google for how much they go for and sell it.
