does anyone know about drums here. what does the hole size matter or effect to the sound, what kind does it give.

Are you refering to the bass drum hole on the resonant head?

Thats to cut its sustain so you have a quick THUMP! instead of a Boooom.

A pillow or two does the job too, but kills volume. So the head is the way to go, as well as some padding on the beater head. maybe a small pillow would help too.

what are some good heads?
