gez, how can you choose just one? Weezer, Nine Inch Nails, Everclear, Ministry, The Black Keys, Raconteurs, Coldplay, Beck, Blues Traveler, Oasis, Killers, and not to forget about Vanilla Ice and Miley Cyrus all had new albums out this year.

I think I'll have to go with The Black Keys...

Can i say haarp even though its a DVD. I am going to go with Muse's Haarp.

if i'm not aloud to, then i thought all the albums this year sucked. But i'd have to go with oasis cuz it had the best song i think with "I'm outta time."

I voted for Black Keys, but I also liked "Death Magnetic".

Telecrater, have you heard Ministry's album? I did not know they made a new one, I'll have to look it up.

yeah, so i thought the albums out this year were crap too then i realized there were a lot of great bands that put out new stuff this year. I found this link

List of Albums Released in 2008

Damn I got some catching up to do. I'll be busy downloading over the next few days...

The new NIN album if available for free download (ok you have to register so it costs 5 min + an email address)

I've herd some cuts of the new ministry and they sound good, not quite psalm 69 but better than filth pig.

I wrote in Modern Guilt, The Mars Volta's Bedlam in Goliath was a close second.

Did they keep making music after 1975? My last purchase was an 8 track of Bob Dylan and the Band playing a tribute to Woodie Guthrie.

i'm a MUSE fan but i'm going to have to disagree with haarp because it's a live album... an album yes, but it's not original music. also the mastering on the DVD was pretty bad, looks like a youtube video on my TV...

i am at work so i don't have full access to my music collection, but my vote will be Hot Chip's "Made in the Dark". it's not guitar-rock music. but it has a guitar player in the band. and it is s freaking awesome
