well i looked into it, so i need a pa system that has 6-8 inputs, can handle guitar bass, vocals, drum mics, am i looking for a power mixer? or just a regular pa system? i also need a set of good speakers, id get it used, so name some good brands and models and stuff speakers and pa systems. itll be around 800 or so used im buying used so think like 1200 or so max new. that is the whole thing has to cost that new or like 800 used.

What I did was bought things separately. I got a Power amp off of ebay, Behringer speakers from Musicians friend, and a used 12 channel mixer from a music store. All together it ran us about $900, but the speakers were new and are pretty high end. You could probably get a decent PA system used for around $800. I would look on Craigslist to see if anyone is getting rid of a system. or buy it in pieces.

Peavey speakers are always good. Solid as a rock. Kustom speakers are decent and affordable. As far as Power amps, I have a 400 watt Crown, which does more than I need.I used to have an 8 channel powered mixer which was decent. My Peavey mixer is about 30 years old and still works better than most modern day digital mixing consoles that I've used. I would do a general search on PA systems on Musiciansfriend.com and check out some reviews. I check the pros and cons of Customer feedback, and I usually get a good idea of the quality.

I don't have it. Heard things similar to it though. They sound nice. Its and 8 channel actually. Thats what it says anyway. Just link your guitar and amp to it [same with bass], set the effects on your personal amp [your "Head"] and it will carry it through the PA. Drums, you just plug the drum mics into it, and well, for a regualr singing microphone...well go figure! lol. Its pretty simple.
