Ok so for about a month a friend of mine has been trying to get me to meet with his band because he was impressed with a video of me playing that another one of my friends showed him. I was a little cautios at first, but on Wednesday im upposed to go meet the band and play with them to see if they want me to join. Im looking for general advice as ive never thought of being or been in a band before.

ive never auditioned for a band before, but for me when i play infront of people i tend to mess stuff up or not be able to think of what to play, so dont be nervous, believe in yourself

Have a good time! Also, when you're just starting with them, jamming and what not, try not to step on anyone's toes. That is, let them have their share of the spotlight and hang back a little. I've never really had a problem with people exploding into some wacko solo when I've got something going, but it really ticks some people off. But again, just try to have fun.

Yeah so all went well today, im going to be part of the band once their lead guitarist leaves for college. I still have alot to learn to be at their lever but the band is willing to teach me. On a side note I got to play through a half stack for the first time today, and all i can say is WOW....now i wish i could afford one.
