Is anyone a fan?

I've been learning some of the songs lately, and some of the stuff is downright complex. He uses a lot of alternate pickings and tunings. I like the way he uses an acoustic guitar to be the forefront of his music, yet still completely rock out.

Does anyone know any bands that are similar in style? (Anything but Tantric.) I'm kind of digging the world music feels he's got in some of his songs, but I'm looking for something with a similar edge as well.

Days of the New 2 is by far one of my top ten albums that I've ever owned. It takes the heavy acoustic style and takes it one step further.

Here's the first track off their first album. I'd embed it but youtube won't let me.

I'd check out the third album. It's hard to find but it probably has the most developed music. DOTN 2 is my personal favorite, but I'm amazed that the third album sold so few copies for as solid of an album that it is.
