So i finally did the pickup install in my LP and was pleasently suprised with the results. I now have a nice warm sounding neck piclkup with enough bite when distorted. Im just happy with myself cause i did all the work. Ill post a pic of the end result later when i have time.

What pickups to you get? Can't wait to see some pictures

I want to new pickups. I think with my epiphone Dot I may replace the pickups and the wiring and install a bigsby. the pickup selector switch shorts out sometimes. I think it may be a pain since every thing has to feed through the F hole.

I used the neck pickup i had in a guitar i had that i never play, im not sure of the brand but it sounds pretty good for a free install. The install was easy considering its was a two wire hookup, but if your going to replace all the wiring it could get alot more complicated, and ive never seen the innards of an ephiphone dot so i cant give you any insight into how hard it would be.
