I named my Les paul after my mother. She passed away about three years ago. I tried to learn how to play when I was about 15 and she was always super supportive. There were to many bottles to drink and girls to chase so I gave it up. so that's the story behind that.

My acoustic doesn't sound that good and it goes out of tune a lot, it's really annoying. So I named it after my wife ;P

If I'ts your first, name it after the
sentimental value it holds(if any)

I like to name them after pleasant experiences and nostalgic places.

I believe there is a ancient post about this(Afro will remember) and I think I named my guitars but I've forgotten since then.

Here's what I could think of right now:

Jackson Kelly is named "Blue" for obvious reasons.

Jackson DXMG is named "Rachel" (Don't ask why)

Strat is named "The Lowrider"(it has a picture of Lowrider brand) I learn new things on it and learned most of my technique on it plus its a great blues guitar.

Early classical guitar is named "La Mia" or "My Own" in Spanish because I am possesive of it. It helped me learn crazy chords and most of the theory I know today plus it sounds great for $70 and being dented on several occasions. This one holds the most sentimental value.

The latest classical one is called "Moro" because its black(Moro means Moor in Spanish), its a great sounding guitar but not as good as my first.

I named one Mark because it has a big mark in it now. I also called it Hank before that beecause the first snog I played on it was a Hank Williams song but then I changed it to Mark after I damaged it.

My guitars seem to have different soul every time I take it in hand, sometimes it cry, sometimes it scream, sometimes it whisper or sound gently... hmmm... maybe I name it "Psycho"

I only use feminine names. Maybe because a woman can be beautiful crying or singing? My blue Schecter is "Melinda" and my acoustic is "Marianne." Melinda was the name of a good friend I lost in a traffic accident, a fitting commemoration I think. I named the acoustic Marianne because it is what I learned to play on, I would say it gave me my freedom. Marianne represents liberty and reason. Again, fitting.

Just get the feel of the guitar I guess. Name it with as littleor as much meaning as you want.

Although, the main reason I'm making this 2nd post is to correct a rather bad spelling mistake:

/ *SONG!!!!* /

And now I'm going to go back to revising again. where I can't keep making silly mistakes like that...

lol yeah it is League! And I have, I've stopped the guitar abuse. I'd have to have done it the best guitar I ever had too. Ah well.

And yeah Soy, my vocabs so interesting. I think it's what made me do so well (hopfully!) in my english exams. I'm expecting an A at least for it. I may have even done that same mistake in my last exam. I hope not and if I did the examinet will it find it funny, have some pitty and give me the 27 marks in the question! Whoops I should be revising for tomorrows exam now, I'm not sure how I keep ending up here.

That is a hot name and the Strat is a hot guitar.

@Ozzfan there's this video on youtube where open mic night at a cafe turns into the guitar player breaking a guitar on a heckler
nevermind here it is.

I wouldn't want to face this guy in guitar fights.

someone says "That was unnecessary" at least it shut him up.

Actually, "piano", pronounced pee-ar-no, is Italian for "soft", so it could be an appropriate name for an acoustic.

i named my acoustic 'the f-u-c-k-i-n-g acoustic' dont get me wrong it sounds great but wen i told my friend to go get it from my room he didnt know which one to getand he was taking forever so i yelled out "GET THE F-U-C-K-I-N-G ACOUSTIC" and thats how my acoustic got its name

my black ibanez ill call it 'ibanez' or 'the black one' somtimes

and i dont know what to call my purple dean so i just call it 'purple'

and my moms acoustic i call it 'the guitar with the retarded G-string' cuz when you leave it alone for an hour that string untunes itself so bad its not even funny
