Mostly old school stuff like BBT. I like a little prog metal but not much, like Protest the Hero. For southern metal ish type stuff BLS. Maylene and the Sons of disaster are decent. Right now though I'm in a Guns N' Roses/Aerosmith/Hendrix type of feel. I just like that not overly fast, bluesy, in your face **. I think it's a lot more my kind of style than metal [although I do like listening to metal].

I can't decide. So I'm gonna go with saying just Metal.
New, old, well I can't listen to some Metal, cuz most of it is just power chord+blast beat+ guttaral vocal. So anything that isn't like Grindcore.
Any metal that has something constantly going on, I really dig prog.

well if they had folk metal or maybe country western metal I'd be into that.

In all seriously I used to be int Thrash back when metallica, rocked, and anthrax raped. oh those were the good old days.

@ Tele - Actually there is folk metal. I'm not sure it's what you think it might be though, but heres the Wiki page to get an Idea of some of the bigger bands of the genre.

BTW, Some good thrash metal news for Megadeth fans.....NEW ALBUM IN SEPTEMBER!!!! It's called "Endgame". Not much other info, but If I hear anything I'll tell you all. Or you just keep tabs on their Myspace or fansite.

Wow I am so stoked for that to come out! Just that little clip sounded sick. That's so awesome. I saw deth in 08 also league. One of the best shows I've seen even though the crowd sucked. Every time I hear a new deth song I get chills man. Daves rythm (hate that word) are so hard I'll never get over it.

Anyways I don't exactly know what metal is my favorite. I suppose it would be thrash, but with other elements mixed in. I love the amount of solos in UA, and I love fast and with feeling. I absolutely hate any singer that just moans and screams into the mic. Why even have lyrics when no human could understand them? "Musically intelligent" metal just hits the right spot.

Oh, and I can't blame you for liking him over Friedman, bodom. He had his ups and downs. I liked what Pitrelli did too a lot though. Really I just love megadeth other than '97-'01.

Whenever you hear Mustaine's guitar work you immediately know its him. His style is so progressive yet you can still mosh to it.

The System has failed has really good songs that I would consider classics but Megadeth still hasn't gone full thrash.
