I know some of you are great at tabbing by ear so if you could try to do a rough take on this that would by really cool of you.

Sounds pretty easy, I'll give it a go later on. I'm pretty certain that's a mandolin, not a guitar though, so it would be transcribed for a guitar. Do you have Guitar Pro?

I think the begging goes like this
lead rhythm bass
e--9-12-12-------12-12---(---0---0--(---------------------------
b---------10-/-15--------(---2---3--(---------------------------
g---------------------14-(---2---2--(---------------------------
d------------------------(---2---0--(---------------------------
a------------------------(---0------(--5-4-3-0---5---5----------
e------------------------(----------(----------5---5------------

that's the best I got.

Put a capo on the 7th fret. Play it like kcaj says above.

You can change the strumming chords to a D open shape and a G open shape.
