@ Elliott - Lol, isn't that what you have?

On topic though, I guess a BC Rich mockingbird with a body about 3/4 as heavy and thick as a Les Paul for tone and feel reason, a Floyd Rose that is set up and intoniated, etc completing by electronics lol. A fast, medium thick fretboard. Worn crome hardware with tuners shaped like those of an oldschool Gibson LP. A tobacco burst finish and these things [*] as fret markers. Yes, I'm picky. Oh, and solid Mohogany body and Rosewood for the fretboard.

I used to have my dream guitar it was a
1965 Fender Stratocaster with Bill Lawrence pickups, but it got stolen.

now I'd have to say a 1968 Gibson SG (Black).

Gosh, I think I'm the only guitarist I know that doesn't have a dream guitar! I think I'm just happy and thankful enough with what I have, I'm really not fussy. But you guys really have named some nice ones. But I don't have an electric, if I was going to get one I'd definately make it a Les Paul Epiphone 2. One of my friends has one and it really does make some terrific sound.

No Heather, your not...

You know i used to look at guitar porn all the time, scouring through the web pages of musicians friend, and guitar center. But anymore I'm thankful for what i got, they work and I don't really need much more for what I'm doing.

Someday I would like a nice USA made guitar, maybe a Gibson Les Paul studio, or SG or even a Stratocaster, but really that just if i got money to throw around and nothing to spend it on....but I'm married with kids so chances of that happening is pretty slim.

That's right ACG, I play cheap guitar and i'm proud of it!!!

In the unlikely event that I'll ever consider myself worthy, I'd like a Gibson SG '61 re-issue with splitable Seymour Duncans, Floyd Rose Trem and a locking nut. Heritage cherry would be nice but I'll happily live with pink if I can have the rest!

The Luna Phoenix is the only thing I desire. I'm quite happy with what I've got right now though... I'm more interested in my playing ability really.

Gibson friggin' Les Paul! Any color will do. One of my favorite themes is the Zakk WYlde one. I Love it.
My other choices would be: Gibson SG, Epiphone Casino or Fender Telecaster.

I took my best friend to a guy that trades used guitars and althought I couldn't get me a good trade, he bought himself a Fender '51. I was so jealous that he got his electric before me but he let me play it and we were alright. Then I let him play mine when I bought it two weeks later cause he really likes it and we switch guitars often when we're jamming.

Well, I'm very, very happy with my guitar, but I'd be happy if I could get my hands on one of the guitars I mentioned. There was a time when I could kill someone if I'd get and Epiphone made Les Paul in return, but I got through that in a week or two.

I am not totall sure... I really want a electric guitar not sure yet what kind... I am always looking, but being poor is a factor to acually buying one... I really like my Ibinez PF it really sounds good (acustic).... I am still a rookie all the way so hearing the notes ring out true is a plus when learning.

I'd like to have my original Framus guitar I bought in Germany in 1969. The one I learned to play Polly Wolly Doodle on.

Eric Clapton once tuned it for me but that's another story.

@ RaptorClaws: Well tell us the story. It was quite a surprise for me to learn I had to tune over and over again, so I probably wouldn't let Clapton lay a hand on the tuning knobs. :P

I forgot to mention, about my dream guitar, I wouldn't like one with a whammy. Not that I dislike guitars that have one, but I prefer paying without one, except MAYBE if it was a double lock Floyd Rose.

My mother is British and was friends with Eric's natural mother. They both married Canadian soldiers. In the early 1970's we lived at a Canadian military base in Germany...Eric's mother (Mrs Macdonald)was also living there at the time. My mom and Eric's natural mom spent a lot of time together (drinking tea?).Anyways I had no idea how to tune my guitar (no internet, no books). One day mom mentions that her her friends boy, Eric, is visiting and he plays guitar and perhaps he would tune it for me. I was 14 and had a 14 year old's attitude...as in 'Ya sure, whatever'. I didn't stick around but Eric and hismom were over and he tuned my guitar. I didn't know it was Eric 'Clapton' and,to be honest, didn't know of him even if I had heard his name.

Anyways he tuned my guitar but I never met him. His step siblings were in my school and one of them once mentioned a brother being in a band but it didn't register in my brain at the time.
