Some kid saw me busking at a market and want to learn my style really badly(style of rodrigo y gabriela) and his mother phoned me today requesting for a lesson :D
Any tips ideas for giving beginner lessons? I myself never had a lesson before but i know i can teach alot of techniques and stuff. Should I start with basic chords and strumming techniques?

start by learning your instrument well enough not to have to ask such questions.
and taking (being taught yourself) Guitar from a teacher yourself for a year or 20 would also help.

not trying to sound like an arse, just being REAL.

Oh boy, I'm gonna be the "bad guy" this morning!
Saying “I have a student” in my mind is the same as saying “I am now a teacher”
Reinhardt I like you, think you're a talented guy, but you're not a teacher. Basically you're going to show this kid what you know and I would define that as ‘instructing” or two guys sitting around showing each other what they know so far. What i'm say is (if I am permitted to use an analogy). I can show you how to change the water pump on your car but if you ask me how and why it works I won't be able to tell you. From reading your previous posts I can tell that you have no or little knowledge of theory. So how would you answer questions that might eventually come up? You have no idea yet if you even have that special ability that some people have to "teach" and that is IMO a very special ability. So, you can show this kid how you do what you do on the guitar and make a few bucks and then consider getting the knowledge that you’ll need if you really want to “teach”. Sorry to be a bummer and I haven’t even really answered your original question but I feel that teaching is an honorable profession and I felt the need to vent. So, yeah, first see what the kid knows already and then show him what he came to learn.

P.S I gave my 30 day notice at my day job and will be learning theory and guitar for 8 hours a day ^_^ going fulltime is my dream.

Thanks
