tuning weirdness

um when i tune mhy guitar to standard on my amp (built in tuner) it alwasys sounds a half step lower then the keyboard ..so i used a foot pedal tuner ... same result.. what is going on ... please help cus i have practice coming up soon .. and were playing goodnight kiss from dream theater with some piano and i want to know wahts going on :U

hmm maybe ur keyboard is out of tune? mke sure the tuner isnt set to flat... i tune by ear except when i want exacts and i have time... so i really odnt know

Yeah, if its an electric keyboard, it might have the ability to "auto-transpose" which would just put it down half a step. Check that out. Its the only thing i can think of.

I agree

i have this, or rather my students , lol, have this problem a lot: they will accidentally hit one of the 'CALIB' buttons (too close to on/off) on the tuner i have out for them ... this (the situation you describe) is often the result.
