im mad and need help!

im mad! i just got home and tryed to play my guitar but my cable was broke! all three of them to be correct. and i need a new one but im broke and have no money at all. i will go insane if i not able to play my guitars, i cant stand it! i might just sell some of my stuff to get some money for a new cable. do you all know i can get a new guitar cable? please help......

craigslist, there are usually people there throwing away (well, for cheap) extra cables. if not post a message saying you need a cheap cable.

You do realise you can play guitar even though you don't have a wire, right? You're just playing clean.

i know it will play clean but i usually play metal and rock i cant stand it without distortion or barely hearing it and my acoustic is a piece of crap.

all of your cords stopped working at the same time? are you its not your guitar or amp?

the cords were all messed up but not that bad and when i pluged them in they made a loud buzzing noise.

the amp and guitar work cuz i tryed my friends cord and its just fine.

Try a good acoustic guitar :)

or.... get some old electrical wire....
and two cable ends... (ones that you can take apart)
and solder the white to the same parts of the cable ends and
then the black or whatever coler is in there ... its gonna be kinda noisy... but at least youll have a bullet proof cord :D

just buy a new chord, its not that expensive, like 10-20 bucks (brand and length dependent)

Even the greats who use "heavy distortion" learn to play clean in order to fix their mistakes... if you don't bother doing that ...

I just don't get it. Why do you ALWAYS have to use distortion? I understand that you might like it better and everything but when you're cable brakes IT'S NOT SUCH A BIG DEAL. I mean come the hell on...



And believe me, I'm very young myself but I've noticed many kids in my town think the only music worth listening to is heavy metal, death/thrash/black and all the other sorts of metal. And the only "chords" they know are power chords which aren't even chords in the first place.

I totally agree. Thats the way it is around my area too. Kind of sad that no one bothers to do anything else or explore, but, their loss.

well, i find what the problem is the only artists that are willing to play an all ages venue are metal bands. I'm legal age, so i have a choice on where i can go, and what i can see in terms of music. But I also find that my generation is a lot more cultured in terms of music(i'll be 20 in october.) What I think should happen is these 'kids' should have to listen to a couple hours of CBC Radio 2 or CBC Radio 3 a day. These are VERY diverse radio stations, give these 'kids' a little more of an idea of whats out there

Is it actual radio or can it be picked up online somehow?

i know you can get cbc radio 3 online, im not sure about radio 2 but id probably bet on it being so. just google em

well whenever i play on stage i use distortion but when i play for me i always play clean so i can fine tune mistakes i made
oh and open mic nights are lots a fun :D

Hey Vince, could you please kinda describe to me what one of those open mic nights is like? I think there's an article about that on Wikipedia but it's different when somebody tells you about their particular experience.
