Hey Reinhardt,

I know a bit about it and how to get into the "mode" for the Lucidity to take over, but I typically got that from other forums about it.

Here's a good site, and if you want some clarification let me know on here or PM or something and I'll see if I can help you out. It's pretty cool stuff, just very weird feeling, almost like you are completely awake and conscious...but not D:

http://www.dreamviews.com/

I think that the easiest way to bring about a Lucid dream, is to nap on the couch, since it's a different location than where your body is used to sleeping, it won't go into the deep sleep as easily(odd I know).

Hope this helps and let me know if you are successful in lucid dreaming :D

Great stuff man, I joined those forums about a week ago and got some very good info there! Awesome community to! There is probly a million ways to get lucid in your dreams or to help you get to that state of consciousness. and best of all is you can make it as real as everyday life but im yet to master the art. Ive seen and heard of a few people that used this method for song writing and it really helped them writing the most amazing songs that they never imagined is possible to write.

You might also want to check out the stuff from Ken Wilber.

especially this writing.

Ofcourse many people have cool stuff from it and like you said "it really helped them writing the most amazing songs that they never imagined is possible to write." I dont underline that straight away,

I think they dont understand state what they experienced and made them think they never imagined is possible to write, but when you understand that its not parallel reality or world, but its your consiousness, or should I say subconsciousness and those writings comes from your consiousness or subconsiousness.

It's cool stuff, but be realistic with it and think clearly, then it gives the thing you need.

My alarm used to go off everyday at 5:30AM for years. My shrink was really into dream therapy and suggested we try to get more out my dreams by setting my alarm for 5:20 or 5:25 so I would wake up right in the middle of a lucid dream. This really worked!

I've done it a few times, but only when I really involved myself in the idea of it.

Its a perfect way to inspire creativity for an artist, you can really play some awesome tunes in your dreams. Your fingers just glide over the fretboard and the most amazing sounds come out of it. I really recommend this technique but you have to be good at transcribing.

I read that entire site last night! I practiced dream recall as I woke up maybe 3 times last night. The last hour I had a very lucid dream: I flew to work on a plane and rented a hotel. I worked all day and was given a ride back to where my car was parked. As soon as I saw the car I realized it had been broken into and things were stolen. I peeped into a shead and a homeless guy looked at me and shot me in the face. I didnt die and realized it was a dream. I wanted to dream more but once I realized I was dreaming I woke up.

Cool stuff!

You dont have control over shrooms, its a natural drug and f*cks with your mind, rather be in control and keep it naturaly clean. No side effects.

It depends the quantity, you can easily control it if it comes to that. But anyway, Dont use drugs, its bad mkay... :)

Actually, tell me how you control dreams? You can stay aware in your dreams, but you cant control it what comes to dream recall techniques. I know there are two states, Lucid dreaming and waking dream (im not sure if my term is right in english) and in lucid dreaming there are ways to "control" your choices in a dream or experiencing deep areas of your subconsiousness, but still meditation is in my opinion better way to improve creativity.

Awareness is the key to good living in my opinion. When you begin to just become aware of where you are, what your doing, how you feel, etc. instead of just running around mindlessly doing things and not really considering your true existence, you begin to relax and your mind becomes more open to other things and your subconcious awakens while you are awake. When you sleep it continues. You dont neccessarily have control of your dreams but they are easier to recall.

If your day is hectic and your normal concious mind is in charge, your ego, your subconcious mind is closed and when you sleep it stays closed and you dont really dream.

Yeah mac, I agree most part, hence you can stay calm even an hectic day, tho I know its hard... and when I usually fall into that fussing while things go towards muck, I get angry to myself :)

Cheers
