check this site out, you type in an artist/song name, and it plays you lots of bands that have simmilar musical qualities, its amazing for finding new bands that you might like or exploring new kinds of music.

it also has a bunch of pod casts on different aspects of music, for example vocal harmony and the use of guitar effects effectivly, i found it well usefull
