When I was young I fell down the stairs a lot
I scraped my shins, I broke my knees
and since bad things always come in threes
I feel down again and busted my head

I went of screaming for help
To put bandages on my bleeding legs
I never thought I'd be doing it again and again
For the rest of my days

So much older now but I never grew up a lot
I still break my bones and hurt my head
But now my bones are my heart and my head is my conscience
No matter what I couldn't get ahead

Now in the morning I seem to throw up a lot
But I'm not drunk I'm not depressed
I'm just feeling sick, I need some rest
for my spinning head

Now in the morning I seem to throw up a lot
But I'm not drunk I'm not depressed
There's something missing, something I can't find
When I do I think I'll be alright

I don't know if you decided on the kind of song this is but it's got Country written all over it! Johnny Cash especially.

haha now that you mention it i totally hear it to the tune of "A Boy Named Sue." actually now I can't even remember the melody i had for it, (wheres my guitar haha)
But really its more acoustic/postpunk kind of sound.

I'm gonna try to make a video as soon as my video camera is working..

Cool! I can't wait to hear what it really sound like. People post lyrics here all the time. Every once in awhile one just resonates with me like this one does!

Dude. I like it. A lot. I think I've said it here before but I typically am not one who cares much for lyrics. I'm mostly into instrumental music and when there is lyrics or a vocal part in a song I'm listenning more to the voice as an instrument and how it compliments the song. This song has simple cool lyrics that I like to listen to and hear the words along with the music.

Good job man!

Please tell me you will play this live someday :)

It's just amazing to listen to man, the lyrics are very nice and I think many people can connect with them very easily(I did ha).
Loved the progression at the beginning, and I loved the main progression of the song man. You also have a very warm and smooth voice(I thought). You should totally do some of this for an EP or something man, I would love to see it with a whole album to go along with it haha

Rock it!!

pretty cool that you and your brother are both into music haha my little brother loves to play bass, but he moved so I don't have a bass player readily available for 3 AM jams :P haha
