it's true! I've had a cold for like 2 weeks :P bluhhhhhh... anyways, I wrote this piece in the last couple weeks, thought you might enjoy hearing it before I throw on the vocals :P

anyways, tuning is very different from my normal E standard(I went to the Drop C brutalness for this one) just to try out a new tuning and sound.
Not fully done since there are going to be vocals, but haven't really had the opportunity to belt them out at home yet ha
I'll re-upload the tune when I can get the vox thrown on.

Let me know what you think!

Case

hah thanks :)

For the vocals, I'm going to do a "Black" Metal style, since if you understand what I was singin' you might not take it seriously hahaha

yeah I use EZDrummer for the drums. Pretty nice program, very user friendly with some pretty solid drum sounds for stuff done at home like this, since I usually mess with the drum beats that they have pre-programmed(They have thousands of different combinations) the midi is nice to have on hand.

@Mistaluke

Yeah I do vocals, but I'm not a Hetfield haha I'm like Jason Newsted :P I can do some pretty brutal yells and backing vocals, but I just don't have the voice to sing well(Pretty monotone range).

You already know I am a fan. This is very good. Sounds a lot like Underoath. Great job. I shipped all my music stuff home already... It'll be awhile before I get a guitar in my hands again :( Again, really good man. I think drop C suits you better anyway :)

Rock on!

haha glad you guys enjoy this! haha

@Emp
Funny thing actually, I'm a pretty big Children of Bodom fan(something about those Finnish peoples, they're awesome :D hahaha)and I was blasting the song "Lake Bodom" one day. Well I really really like the main riff in that song and I was playing around with a melody I had been sitting on for probably a month and started to mess around with the notes in a similar fashion as the COB riff. Voila! I managed to take that melody that I'd had forever and actually do something with it! That explains the opening riff haha as far as the main verse riff thing, that was just something I usually play around with when riffing in Drop Tunings :P

@GS
Cool man! Glad you like it :) You should like, hurry up and get home then haha ;)
I definitely like Drop C, it's a fun tuning to mess around in haha I'm definitely going to be doing some more Drop C songs :D

Glad you guys like my tunes :)

Now...Onward to sh$#@y vocals!! hah
