Personally I've got no problem with many rap artists(Run DMC, Public Enemy ,etc.) even today I can appreciate what it is(though a lot of it boils down to about 3 things... Money, Women, More Money). Usually I just don't mind it, I mean I can understand what it is and don't mind taking a break from my usual day of 'Deth and 'Tallica or Slayer and listen to some random hip-hop rap for a little while(about 20 minutes or half hour). But when it comes to down right stealing or as it is referred to, "sampling", it irritates me(sometimes it's done waaay better than expected). I just get so irritated by stuff like this though...Plus Free Falling is awesome for Car-i-oake!

Lol im personally going to agree with ledzepp. I personally cant stand how today I dont know good music.
However I do see where case is coming from. I'm just not a big fan on the rap and hip hop style.

I can't hate sampling. It's basically the conerstone of traditional Jazz. That's why there is a Fakebook and a Realbook. Sampling is just borrowing someones ideas, and infusing them with your own. It's like the Grateful Dead's totally reinterpreting standard songs, they do not sound like the original.

I don't like the use of the Tom Petty sample in this song though, it's repetitive and doesn't work for me.

Millions of us like creative hip-hop with positive messages and interesting lyrics. People tend to dislike what they don't know. (people say things like: most metal songs are about killing and insanity or most hip-hop songs are about money and ho's. If you don't delve deeply into a genre you will only see the stuff that is pop. And it's pretty clear that most of us here at ACG don't like straight commercial pop.)

Please review the quality hip-hop act in the next post.

I agree man. I just feel that of the first 100 hip-hop songs I hear in one day(driving around with family...only my mom likes metal) usually about 70-75 percent of those seem to deal with nothing more than mentioned about money and ho's. Some actually have a message that you can appreciate and is still catchy and enjoyable :)
