First time post here! Anyone else streaming their music live to the internet? I just started doing it on Ustream. My show is called Leroy Miller Live From Nashville. I'm streaming every Thursday night at 8/11pm PST/EST. Anyone with a internet connection can watch it for free! Come check it out and let me know what you think! I love that I can play my music for people all over the world that otherwise would never get a chance to hear it live. There was a blog about it over on Fender Front Row!

I thought I would post a few pics of my setup! Axe FX Ultra controlled by a Liquid Foot Pro! It's a wicked combo for sure.

Is it too forward of me to ask what a setup like that would run?

No, not at all! The Axe FX Ultra is $1999.00 USD and the Liquid Foot Pro foot switch is around $800.00 USD. The Mexi Strats are about $500.00 USD.

I don't think this kind of things works too well for people like me, I'm never going to remember to go to some URL at a specific time to listen to a stranger trying to promote their music. Now if it was case or emp, justjeff or guitarslinger, then yea, I'll make the effort.

That being said, you're very talented. How do you do the backing tracks? I checked out the "show 2"recording.

No problem... What I'm doing is unique and is the future for independent artist to play for audiences on a global level that might otherwise never get a chance to hear me live. I have hardcore fans all over the world that love my music and now I can perform it for them live! It's really working for me. Now you have heard me and maybe you'll be a fan or inspired to do new things to reach out to your audience. The backing track is done with Reaper. Thanks for taking the time to check out my show!
Peace,
Leroy

Hey Leroy,
Watching yesterdays show right now. I have questions. Where are you streaming from? Are you alone or do you have someone running equipment like background images (vid effects)? The backing tracks....your own band or pre-made? I suppose if you had a band they would be in the room with ya so probably a stupid question but I'm asking anyway (cause I'm old and senile so humor me). lol
It' online live so is it interactive? Can people send messages while you are on? I'll start there and ask more later.
I"m enjoying it....ooops internet explorer locked up ROFLMAO! Leroy ya killed my computer! damn.
How long have you been online with this?

Phip,

Until Leroy gets back to you I can answer some of your questions. There is one other person running cameras, backgrounds, effects, etc. That is me. : )It's all done in Leroy's home studio. The backing tracking Leroy has produced himself in his studio. It is interactive, people can chat through Ustream or send messages from other social networks like Facebook, Twiiter...

Hope that answers most of your questions, Glad you are enjoying it.

Hi Phip, first I want to say thanks for checking out the video of my show from last night! Ok let me answer your questions. I'm streaming from my studio in Nashville TN. I have my engineer running the cameras and backdrops/video FX. The backing tracks are all produced and played by me in my studio prior to the show. I control all the music live from my midi foot switch. I do have guys that I've toured with for years but this is a totally new way of doing things so I don't need them for this. If I go on the road I use my guys to back me up. It is a totally live performance done on line so there is a chat line and a social network line (twitter/facebook ect...) for people to interact with me while I'm performing in real time! "Requests anyone?". I broadcasted my first show on 02/17/11 and will be broadcasting a new show every Thursday. The next show will be on 03/03/11. I'm doing two sets the first one at 12/3 pm PST/EST for Europe and a second set at 8/11 pm PST/EST for the US. I hope you can join me next Thursday!
Peace,
Leroy

This is actually a great idea. I'll have to tune in on Thursday.

Do you do it every week? Or just when you think you have enough for a show?
