I was studying some chord subsitutions of a clasic I vi ii V progression and I came across this progression.

Cmaj9/ Bbm6 / Am6/ Ab dim (b13)

Last chord with the (b13) extension I guess is nothing more than the octive of the D. I am looking at this chord in the right manner (Ab, B, D)

Ab B D is the dim. part of Ab dim b13. The D being the b5th. The b13 would be an E.
Something like this..

e----x
B----5
G----7
D----6
A----5
E----7

After the intro, look at this

Am6 > G#dim13b > Cm7/G > F#dim > Dm6/F > E7b9 > Amadd9:

B ...5......5......1......1......0......6......0
G ...5......4......3......2......2......7......5
D ...4......3......1......1......0......6......5
A ...x.....................................7......0
E ...5......4......3......2......1......0......x
