Gshred,
Are you currently in a formal band?
Also, I see you are from Galt, CA. That's not too far from Lodi. Are you a fan of CCR?
What's the music scene like in Galt?

@phip #1 no phip i am not in a formal band as of right now,i was in two bands before, one final sin a death thrash and doom metal band, and second martyroath,a blackened techno death band.
#2,yes,galt is not too far from lodi, and i like ccr,i often times think about writin a song i called "stuck in galt again",but it just doesnt seem to have a ring to it,
#3 the music seen in galt is great, that is if you enjoy playing to cows and rednecks .....

@jeff naw dude im not mad, i understand the a responsibiltys people need to take care before fun time starts.
and i would have to say my favorite guitar i have ever played would be probalby my ibanez ziphos, when i first got it,the neck was so fast the action was flawless, but i went ape on the whammy reeaal bad and nows i need to get a new bridge,i can still play it but i just fdoesnt feel the same, also they are incredibly versitile,i can go from pig-porkin country,ta hipster jazz,to blazing neoclassical with just slight tonal adjustments.

@emp contrary to my death and black metal history i would much prefer to shred over a massive choir or classical backround, than a metal one right now,not to say that i cant or dislike metal i just have other musical goals as of rigjt now,and for the other i would probably have to say reggae or jazz fusion, ino im a melting pot of diversity.but i have always heard thats a good thing(:

Many guitarists talk about "Soul" in playing, how thats apply in "Death" or "Doom" type of music?... weird question I know :D

@emp ok ill try to answer this the best i can,ok i believe that"soul" in music is a reflection of the personality of whoever is playing it,when people play souluful do you know what they are doing?they are trying to convey the emotions that they are are feeling toward the listeners.i does not matter which emotions they are,for example listen to a song by jimmy buffet, margaritavillee or cheeseburger in paradise, listen to those songs might make you happy because he is a happy person and he is conveying happy emotions through his music toward you, next listen to black sabbath, the song black sabbath, you will probaly feel depressed, because they are playing with soul, and there soul happens to be doom and gloom, and then listen to raining blood by slayer, during that song they play with there souls, and there soul just happens to be aggressive.i hope that made sense.

If you could listen to only one more song in your life, which one would it be?

What are your plans for the future/what are you doing at the moment? (besides playing guitar of course ^^)

@bbbt that is a whopper of a question but ill have say i prefer to listen oldschool 80's metal such as dokken, judas priest, dio, ozzy osbourne(with jake e lee and randy rhoads)just bcuz they all seem to have virtuostic geetar solos which i enjoy very much, but i also enjoy slayer, pantera, rammstein, prong because of the power and energy of there groves and there solos arent bad ,but compared to the 80's metal they cant compare.

@admiral if i could only listen to one song for the rest of my life it would have to be what i got by sublime, that song evokes every possible emotion in me when i hear it and thats a rare find.
i am actually at work with my father im a wood splitter, which means im pretty good with an axe+(no pun intended)and i dig ditches.
my plans for the future are too maybe attende a luthier school or mit to further my musical knowledge and become a studio musician or guitar teacher.

c@luthier i dont drive,i aint got my license,im gonna get it soon, but the speedd limit on cali highways is 65mph so i dnt think so.
@tinyskateboard i consider my sela lead player first, but for some genres i consider my self a rhythm player.i hate capital letters because they someetimes too obnoxious.

and id have too say beatles, the ro lling stones are gud,but the beatles are just a tour de force of beautiful melodies and superb sonwriting.
