Hey guys. Write about your favorite instruments and why you like them here-including guitar.

My favorites are: Guitar, Saxophone, Violin and Piano.
The good thing about those instruments(my opinion) is that you can play ANY KIND OF MUSIC with them, and when I say any, I meant it. And they're also FULL OF LIFE, I mean they can get "fix" your mood at any time, and I laughed at people when they said this to me before, but you actually feel them. Don't you agree?!
And I also like drums. WHY?! Very simple=>They've got the rythm.

Nothing unusual.. the instruments I have played are violin, piano, guitar, and harmonica (do African drums count?).. But I'm kinda not into playing piano anymore.

for those instrument's what I hven't played I just love the sound of bagpipes. My friend used to make them himself and played them and when he played I fell in love :D.

And the last, but not the least - vargan. I think that is one of the most amazing instruments ever made. And it is not just one boring sound. You can get so many awesome effects using your mouth and breath.

i started having violin lessons when i was about 7. I can't really remember much of playing it, but my Dad suggested that i tried the piano because if you wanted a C, then you played a C, rather than having to have your fingers in exactly the right place. Therefore I must have been pretty cr*ppy at violin, but I did pass grade 1 though!

I had piano lessons for quite a long time and then I picked up the guitar. The guitar, in my opinion is the ultimate instrument, because it is perfect for playing both rhythm and lead parts. On a piano, you can play chords, but you can't solo like you can do on a guitar (with pitch bends, slides, etc). It's also harder to keep time while playing chords on a piano - on a guitar your right hand moves constantly which acts like a metronome to keep you in time, but on a piano you can't do that. I gradually gave up playing the piano, although I still play it from time to time.

I also play the keyboard. I bought a really nice one about 4 years ago, the Casio WK3000. They've discontinued it, but it comes with loads of DSP (digital signal processing) effects and something like 800 tones, including drawbar organ mode and stuff, so its really versatile. It's also got some pretty decent speakers, so you don't necessarily need to amp it up. I sometimes plug my keyboard into my wah pedal, to use as a filter.

My favorite instrument is bass guitar, keyboard, drums and my 8 string guitar. I also like playing the flute and you can amp it and add FX and it gets real errie sounds. I would like to learn the oboe and learn to sing.

Guitar, cause it is a fun a challenge
Piano, it sounds pretty cool, I haven't actually PLAYED it seriously though.
Drums, a loud stress reliever you can bang the crap out of.
I don't really like bass, but I do like it because it has that low sound and it is kinda cool
