Ive been playing guitar for seven years, and really like playing fast neoclassical metal and stuff. Im not really sure what scales and theory I should learn because this site is almost overwhelming. If anyone could leave a comment, much appreciation. |

harmonic minor scale,natural minor scale.

Neoclassical is a very broad style. But for the start you should learn the melodic minor scale and the harmonic minor scale and get into the modes. Also learn your arpeggios right, thats important for sweeping, etc. And you need to learn a lot about chords, how they relate to each other, its not just done with scales. |
