Id have to go with alternate pickng.just for the fact the sweep picking is an overused technique.but economy picking is the most efficient.check out my lesson on it.it explains why. |

I'm a much more skillful sweep picker than alternate picker, so I can do it much longer and more efficiently than the latter. |

Horses for courses. Depends on what you need at the time. A good guitarist will be competent with all styles of picking. |

I use alternate picking way more than sweep picking. |
