Different catagories?

Wouldn't it be good to different catagories for different sorts of posts... like general talk, bands, gear, music theory etc. ?

That'd make things easier to find, and I think it feels better posting when forums have that sort of system, since things aren't overlooked as easily.

yes, i was thinking about this as well. the problem is, there are loads and loads and loads of posts that will have to be sorted into different catagories, which would take a while to do.

Could just sort of... restart the forum? Or delete the old posts and start fresh, or just archive the old ones.

Ooooh, here? Fair enough... might need some other people to come by and give ideas. I was thinking...

General Chat (for talk about anything, really)
Music/Bands (discussing various artists, and albums etc.)
Instruments (could include gear talk in here aswell)
Music Theory (just for questions, not really for people to post lessons
Lessons (this could be how people can submit lessons... then maybe you can take them and sort them out from there...)

Did I miss anything that might be important?

Oh, well lessons can be submitted anyway so scrap that one.

I think we need a technique catagory. The only other catagory that comes close to it is Beginners, and while I'm definately no expert on every single technique on guitar, I am certainly not a beginner lol.
