im more of an Ibanez bridge guy(Edge, Edge III, Edge Pro, Edge Zero, ZR I II and III, and all the other ones), but if i had a floyd rose, it would be an original cuz it has the most tuning stability

p.s. WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!

The Ibanez bridges work good for awhile, but the craftsmanship
is kinda shoddy, the metal is a bit cheap.

Hate them. The only whammy bridges I like are the Fender style and Bigsby trems.

I have some sort of lower quality edge.
It's great except I had to switch the nut out, (it stripped), and I need to find screws that fit the new one better (it's loose and detunes).

Personally I love the Floyd Rose. I have one on my Epi LP Nightfall: if you combine it with Grover tuners and a locking nut then you really have to thrash the poop out of your strings to get them to go out of tune. The only issue might be that it takes a little longer to change the strings/do a set-up but once you learn how its not really a problem.

Ok there might be 2 tiny issues (but i assume you would get these with any floating bridge trem):

1..open chords tend to sound slightly out of tune the pressure from the fretting fingers pulls the strings and the trem which flattens the open strings just a fraction.

2..if you pop a string on stage half way through a song you better be able to work out how much pressure has been released (added to the other strings) and transpose the rest of the song accordingly or you're gonna have to stop.
