Here's 3 of my tunes with my singer/rhythm guitarist putting his spin on them. Quality isn't great, and there's more clipping on these than at a barber shop, but it should give you an idea of what my band will sound like(with a little change on the vocals).
Figured since you guys kept bugging me to find a vocalist, you might like to hear these ;) heh

Enjoy!

thats pretty awesome. the vocals are really cool. the only problem I have with it is that I feel that the vocals are overpowering the music to much. It sounded like the vocalist was right next to me but the band was 40 feet away. I liked it though. nice tune.

yup... which is why I wish the guy could have sent me his vocal tracks so I could have mixed them in better.
Thanks for listening to them dude

I would love to hear these with a better mix! I don't think the current tracks do much justice.

I like the idea, I'm having the same aural hurdle though. It will be good once it's mixed.

Nice.

Yuuup... I can barely stand to listen to these because they sound so 'amateur' now... I really need to get a recording computer again :/

uhm...no i didn't like it,the vocals work on your track, but not the singer, also the production is awful, the voice clips like if it was recorded thru a distortion guitar pedal,if you really want to record your own material, start learning by now eeeeverything, production is a whole different world from the musicians/guitar players world, yet they are tied together.

alright dude... seriously? HE recorded and mixed his vocals over top--not me.
EDIT: Maybe I'm being a bit sensitive, but please don't talk to me like I'm a child. I'm 20 not 10.

Alex; what you say makes sense, but no musician need to be a proficient recordist, producer or studio tech...but like you say, it couldn't hurt. Obviously you weren't paying a good deal of attention when case said he had no control over the singer's parts. I'd rather have heard this lousy mix than nothing at all.

recording is an art in itself. I'm learning still to just me on vox and guitar. Just need to figure out the drums now....as I only have a 2 input interface!!!

Try to re record, will sound bad ass with better a better recording!

I'm hopefully going to get the singers vocal tracks raw so I can mix them the way that I would like to--so you guys could listen to something that sound halfway decent rather than what is on there :P
