You ideal band.

What would be you ideal band for the music you would love to play? For example my ideal band would be

Dual (one guy, one girl) singers with a great range in both vocal range, tones, and styles

One lead guitar, who can solo like it was his own voice coming out of the guitar

One rhythm guitar, someone who could really carry music.

One full/effects guitar (odd I know, but its what I did for a year for a band), this person would do the feedback, fills, crazy guitar effects and so on

Two drummers, one with an acoustic set, the other with electronic. I've had this before and it is so much fun when it works out!

Bassist! above all need to know how much control he has over the music! the right note can mean everything when you an advanced bass player. plus he needs to be smooooooth.

Then me on keys! Programing and other instruments. I would maybe do the effects guitar part also depending how much I have to do for that song. I can play both at the same time ok, I'm getting better but man do I need to learn them hammer on's and pull off's

I prefer a smaller group.
Either:
Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums
or
Vocals/Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keys or Sax.

In an ideal world I would let a Rhythm Guitarist, Sax, and extra percussion in, but so far it hasn't worked for me. 4 seems to be the Max number of members so far.

for me it would be...

two guitarists (me and some one else) that can play both rhythm and lead and fill in the holes in the others playing.

a bass player who can stay with the band and wont be all sensitive because he is the bass player

a lead singer and two back up singers (one female one male) to get a really epic sounding vocal section

one keyboard player for ambient parts and stuff.

and a drummer, because a band is nothing without a drummer.

My preferred band is any band that creates quality music that I enjoy.

I hate the modern day notion of a band it is quite silly and really dumb in the the long run.

each song, your interpretation of it, and skills/playing style dictates how it is to be orchestrated. coming into a peace with preset ideas of what it is, is just down right dangerous.

this is coming form someone who hates jam bands so that maybe a sign, but any who.

me-lead/rhythm guitars
singer-lead/rhythm guitars
drummer
bassist

Pretty basic, but we'd be doing thrash so it'd sort of be like what Megadeth and Metallica were doing, except the singer would be doing much easier and much simpler solos than Dave. More like Hetfield where it's only once in a while--not every song.

Guitar with octave pedal played through a switcher that can choose one, two or all three amps; a Fender Champ, a Mesa Boogie or something powerful and a bass amp with a miked wood box on the floor for extra percussion.
Tenor Sax with a pad control sampler device at his side.
Drums (preferably Elvin Jones)

One screamer

What kind? A punk one? A metal one?
A Screamo one? Just curious.
