Is this too ghetto?

Does anyone... or has anyone ever used a different gauge string to replace another string, deliberately or on accident?

I just replaced a high e string with a B string and sounds just the same to me...

you won't really get a much of a noticeable sound difference

basically, fatter strings = fatter sound
