Are Licks and Tabs the same thing?

Just wondering if you read licks the same way you read tabs?

Yes maam. A lick just a piece of music written out. Usually
in tab notation,some in standard music notation are mixed in there
(jazzmavericks.licks etc).

So you should have no.problem reading licks if you can read tabs.
