Is Guitar Pro worth the money? Or should i stick with powertab for songwriting?

I would never buy it, actually (download it!). But sure, it's quite a good program to learn songs etc. But I dunno, for songwriting.. hm...
It is really depending on how you'll use it. I guess GP works fine for some needs.

I like Guitar Pro especially with the real sound plugins you can get. Beats them horrible midi sounds, anyway.

Yeaaah, that's what I'm saying. I meant it beats the midi sounds for Guitar Pro, I wasn't relating it to powertab - I've bever used powertab.

I did like it. Until I notice that many of the solo that people have put together are wrong. Some of the riff are good I use Guitar pro for mainly scales and the drum beat keep in time
