I'd reccomend you use a guitar amp really - since it is built to handle it better. Plus, you will probably be able to EQ it.

As for effects (pedals etc.), they are not necessery - it just depends on what type of guitarist you are and wether you like them or not.

You can actually buy an acoustic simulator amp. Just go to your local music store and ask one of the workers about them. You're sure to find something.

Well... you get some amps with an acoustic model built in with other stuff aswell... but if you have no need for distortion, reverb, delay etc. then yeah, best to ask at a store for a good acoustic modeller.

It really depends on what kind of sound you want. If you gave us something to compare to then we might have a better chance of helping you.

I have tested some amps on a Music Store and the amplifiers with effects like acoustic simulator are too expensives. I am thinking to buy an amplifier with a clean channel

Holy crap Bodom, I never even got the orange thing that says there is a new post... weird... But I am into anything, hair metal, thrash, heavy, nu-metal, prog, death, black... anything really. I listen to lots like even some blues and stuff at times, wbu ?

And J.M.P.A.... that also can work because I can get a good acoustic sound out of my line 6 spider iii 30 on clean, i use a godin exit 22 on pickup setting #3 (5-way switch) with a little bit of tone

Well, clean sounds will probably be just as good unless you really *need* it to sound like an acoustic guitar.

If you like, before you buy, tell us what specfic amps you're thinking and we will probably be able to tell you if they're something avoid or not.

I played a really good clean amp at the store I think it was a Fender.. it was only one channel (clean) and it sounded nice. Then I put a pedal in and it sounded nice too
