Does anyone know why Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Lenny" has a Charvel neck but the headstock says Fender. Could it be that the headstock was added?

"Lenny" was originally a Fender Strat. SRV later replaced the original rosewood neck with a thicker maple one, which was presented to him by Billy Gibbons(well,at least that's how the story goes anyways) .

I heard the neck was a Charvel in Guitar World January 2008.

yeah, the replaced neck was a Charvel, like the ones Gibbons was using at the time. But SRV probably kept the Fender headstock for the aesthetic reasons or sth.
